Tsukiji Fish Market Visit

Tsukiji Fish Market in Tokyo is the world’s largest fish market, and it is the center of the universe so to speak, for all the fish lovers out there. The market receives fresh fish from local fishermen on a daily basis, and wholesales export millions dollars worth of fresh fish all over japan, and the world.

If you are a sushi lover, this is the number one place in the world to feast on some of the freshest sushi in the world. Sushi for breakfast? Why not! At Tsukiji Fish Market, you can come as early as 5:30 am and savour the freshest fish that came off a fishing boat a few hours before.

Some die-hard fans line up at the few sushi restaurants as early as 2 am because the line-ups do get long. We arrived around 8am and feasted on some fresh sushi by 9am. You can see the sushi master chefs preparing fresh sushi right in front of you.

Eating in Asia is definitely a different experience because we would never dream of eating sushi at 9am for breakfast! But this is definitely a true Asian experience not to be missed in Tokyo!
